Landing at Paro is considered one of the most technically demanding approaches in commercial aviation, weaving between mountain ridges into the valley — only a small number of pilots worldwide are certified for it. - Flights to Paro can sell out in peak season (spring and autumn) — book as early as your itinerary allows.
- Fares are generally fixed by the two carriers rather than heavily discounted, so shopping around for a cheaper Bhutan-bound fare has limited effect — the bigger lever is which connecting city you fly via.
- Weather can occasionally delay flights into Paro — build a buffer day into your itinerary if your schedule is tight, especially around an international connection.
