Day 1: Arrival in Paro & Drive to Thimphu
Overnight: Thimphu
Arrive at Paro International Airport and meet your Bhutanese guide & driver. Drive to Thimphu (approx. 1.5 hours), halting at Tamchog Lhakhang Iron Bridge en route.
In Thimphu:
- Visit the Memorial Chorten, a focal point of daily prayer.
- Gentle orientation walk through the capital city.
Evening: Welcome dinner with traditional Bhutanese cuisine.

Day 2: Thimphu Cultural Exploration
Overnight: Thimphu
Discover Bhutan’s cultural and political heart:
- Buddha Dordenma Statue with sweeping valley views
- National Institute for Zorig Chusum (traditional arts & crafts)
- Folk Heritage Museum or Textile Museum
- Tashichho Dzong, seat of government and monastic body
Evening free for local markets and cafés.

Day 3: Thimphu to Punakha via Dochula Pass
Overnight: Punakha
Drive to Punakha via the scenic Dochula Pass (3,100 m).
- Visit the 108 Druk Wangyal Chortens

- Walk to Chimi Lhakhang, the fertility temple
- Explore Punakha Dzong, dramatically set at the river confluence

After breakfast, drive back to Paro Valley.
- Visit Rinpung Dzong, one of Bhutan’s most important fortress-monasteries
- Cross the traditional wooden cantilever bridge

Day 5: Paro Tshechu Festival
Overnight: Paro
Festival Highlight- Spend the day immersed in Paro Tshechu at Rinpung Dzong:

- Observe locals in vibrant traditional dress, creating a deeply communal and festive atmosphere

Day 6: Tiger's Nest Monastery Hike
Overnight: Paro
- Early morning hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Paro Taktsang).
- Approx. 4–5 hours round trip

- Iconic cliffside monastery where Guru Rinpoche meditated
After descending:
- Afternoon at leisure to rest, explore Paro town, or enjoy a traditional hot stone bath (optional)
