Day 1: Welcome to Bhutan | Paro → Thimphu

Arrive at Paro International Airport and meet your guide and driver.
Begin your journey with a scenic drive towards Thimphu. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy your first introduction to Bhutanese culture and the capital.
Overnight: Thimphu

Day 2: Discover Thimphu Beyond the Ordinary

Spend the day discovering the cultural heart of Bhutan.
Visit the Buddha Dordenma and explore selected cultural landmarks, traditional arts and crafts and local areas of the capital.
Take time to experience the rhythm of everyday Bhutanese life rather than simply moving from one monument to another.

Day 3: Himalayan Roads | Thimphu → Dochula → Punakha

Leave Thimphu and journey through the mountains towards Punakha.
Stop at Dochula Pass, with its famous collection of 108 chortens and spectacular Himalayan scenery when weather conditions permit.
Continue into the Punakha Valley and visit the magnificent Punakha Dzong.

Day 4: Discover Rural Punakha

Today is about slowing down and experiencing the countryside.
Explore the Punakha Valley, visit cultural sites and enjoy a gentle walk-through rural surroundings.

Day 5: Into the Peaceful Phobjikha Valley

Travel towards Gangtey/Phobjikha, one of Bhutan's most beautiful mountain valleys.
Enjoy the changing scenery as you leave the warmer Punakha Valley and enter the peaceful highland landscape.
Visit Gangtey Monastery and spend the evening enjoying the tranquility of the valley.

Day 6: Life in the Valley | Nature & Local Experience

Wake up surrounded by the peaceful Himalayan landscape.
Enjoy a nature or countryside walk and discover the traditional way of life of communities in the valley.
This is a day to slow down, take photographs, meet local people where appropriate and appreciate Bhutan's natural environment.

Day 7: Phobjikha → Paro | Journey Through the Himalayas

After breakfast, begin the scenic journey back towards Paro.
Enjoy the changing mountain landscapes along the route.
Upon arrival in Paro, explore the traditional town and surrounding cultural sites according to available time.

Day 8: Tiger's Nest & Departure

End your Bhutan journey with one of the country's most unforgettable experiences.
Hike to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger's Nest), dramatically situated on a cliff above Paro Valley.
After the hike, transfer to Paro International Airport for your onward flight.
